First combined edition of one of the earliest, most influential, and most reprinted volumes of English Uranian poetry. Young 813*. Revised edition of IONICA (1858) and IONICA II (1877), omitting eight poems and adding twenty new ones; second issue, with the error on p. 149 corrected. The present copy, with “IONICA / W. CORY M.A. / GEORGE ALLEN” stamped on spine, is a variant not noted by Timothy d’Arch Smith, who states that the 1891 edition, like the 1858 and 1877 editions, was published anonymously (LOVE IN EARNEST, p. 247).
