First edition. 24mo. Fine in sewn wrappers. Handmade book created from used mailing envelopes with pasted-on texts. The introduction reads: Sparrow wrote these poems while he and 3 other poets occupied the offices of The New Yorker on Dec. 7, 1993, demanding the magazine publish their poetry. The occupation lasted 17 minutes. Fifteen short poems collected here, the concluding one being: “We showed them,” / we thought / when we left / The New Yorker, / deeply embarrassed.
