Small collection of ephemera related to Oldenburg’s theater. The items include a mimeo handbill printed on both sides announcing the 1962 season. One side advertises productions of Store Days, Nekropolis, Injun, Voyages, and World Fair, the other lists the cast for Store Days that included Henry Geldzahler, Jean-Jacques Lebel, Billy Kluver, Lucas Samaras, Carolee Schneemann, et al. “Audience limited by available space to 35 each night.” Also included is a postcard-size announcement for the Ray Gun Theater featuring a photo of Oldenburg in performance, as well as an uncut proof sheet for that card, and another similar one showing a young woman performing. In addition, there is Oldenburg’s business card for The Store, this one stamped “Grand Opening” on the verso and accompanied by its original envelope. A scarce group of items from this important early Happenings/performance venue. $850
