Playing the Harlot.
London: Virago (1996). First edition. 252 pp. A few light wrinkles to covers, else near fine in glossy illustrated wrappers. Larkin is fictionalized in this novel as “Rollo Jute.” Strang and Larkin had an affair while Larkin was a librarian at Queens University. The novel itself was rejected by Charles Monteith of Faber & Faber, as he felt it slandered his friends.
