A far-ranging historical/chronological anthology of Australian verse, including everything from the aboriginal songs of the Wonguri-Mandjigai people to 18th c. colonial poets to ‘New Australian’ poets John Tranter and Jennifer Maiden. Edited and with an introduction by Rodney Hall. An excellent introduction–though still a fairly white one–to the history of Australian poetry.
