INSCRIBED by Lewis on the second blank leaf, “Signed with great love for / Marnie- / Janet Lewis / 2/10/90.” Tipped in at the front of the volume is a typed slip, “Review copy, for publication November 15, 1946.” Laid into this copy is a twenty-eight word holograph letter (to Bill) from Lewis.
