CORY M.A. / GEORGE ALLEN" stamped on spine, is a variant not noted by Timothy d'Arch Smith, who states that the 1891 edition, like the 1858 and 1877 editions, was published anonymously (LOVE IN EARNEST, p. 247). INSCRIBED by the brother of Cory on the first leaf.
